Why
should I give ratings?
To help you get the most out of Mymoviestream, it’s important
that you give ratings to titles that you’ve seen. It’s
very easy to do and each time you give a rating for a title that you’ve
seen, it helps us to understand what you do and don’t like.
You can rate anything you want – it really doesn’t matter
where you watched it. Exciting casino games for mobile - free download
The more ratings you give, the better we will understand your
preferences and will then be able to recommend titles that are likely
to match your personal tastes from the tens of thousands that we
hold – so it will help you add new selections to your list
more quickly and easily. To help us build your profile and start
making recommendations as soon as possible, we ask our new members
to give an initial 10-20 ratings when they first log on and to add
more each time they visit MyMovieStream. Remember - the more titles
you rate, the more accurate our recommendations will be. Cool custom writing paper can be found at our site

How do I give ratings?
Each time you log on to Mymoviestream, you will see a rating of
1-5 stars beneath each title. Whenever you come across a title you
have already seen, simply run your cursor across the stars and award
your chosen star rating – it only takes a second.
The yellow stars show the average ratings from other members for
titles that you have not yet rated. When you rate a title, the rating
you give will be shown in red stars and will add to the overall
ratings average for that title as well as building up your profile.
You can rate anything you want – it doesn’t matter whether
you saw it on DVD, video, at the cinema, on TV or even on a plane!
You should award 5 stars to your favourite titles, 4 stars to those
you really liked but wouldn’t quite put among your favourites…
and so on. Your ratings will appear with red stars and will override
the yellow star ratings, which are based on the average of all our
other members ratings.

How do the recommendations work?
If you have given high ratings to a number of Sci-Fi titles and have
given 5-star ratings to Terminator 1 & 2… Hey presto, Mymoviestream
will recommend Terminator 3!
However, the ratings & recommendations system is also very sophisticated
and will take into account the titles, genres, directors, actors, certificate
and other factors for titles that you have rated – both those that
you liked and those you didn’t. The system even considers the ratings
given by members who have similar tastes to your own, for titles you haven’t
yet seen. If they loved it, the chances are you may do too!
Do I have to take recommended titles?
No - you always have full control over the DVDs you add to your list,
so you can take our recommendations or ignore them if you wish! Again,
the idea is to help you find titles that match your tastes more quickly
and easily.
Which titles should I rate?
You can rate anything you want – it really doesn’t matter
where you watched it. Every rating you give helps us understand your tastes
and make better recommendations.
Why do some ratings have yellow stars and others have
red stars?
The yellow stars show the average ratings from other members for titles
that you have not yet rated. When you rate a title, the rating you give
will be shown in red stars and will add to the overall ratings average
for that title.
How do I tell which titles I’ve already rated?
The ratings you have given will be shown in red stars. Titles you have
not yet rated will have yellow stars, showing the average rating from
the other Mymoviestream members who have rated it.
Can I change a rating I’ve already given?
Yes. If you make a mistake or if you watch a film again and decide it
is better/worse than you remembered, you can change your ratings whenever
you want.
